Making Presentations with PopAI: Turn Source Material into an Editable First Draft

A practical workflow for using PopAI with files or webpages while reviewing structure, figures, citations, and visual hierarchy.

PopAI can create presentations from a prompt, PDF, Word document, PPTX, or webpage. The outline and slides remain editable, and the result can be exported as PPTX or PDF. This is most useful when the source material already exists and the immediate need is a workable first draft.

Decide what the audience should take away

Before uploading files, write down who will see the presentation and what decision it should support. Select the figures, examples, and conclusions that must survive into the deck. Large source bundles often contain repetition and outdated material; removing those items first prevents a polished but unfocused set of slides.

Approve the outline before styling

Generate an outline and review the argument before spending time on visuals. The opening should establish context, the middle should support the recommendation, and the ending should make the next step clear. After slide generation, compare every number, citation, and proper name with the source. If another person needs to continue editing, export an editable format and check fonts, charts, and aspect ratio in the target application.

Presentation work still needs an editor

Dense text, decorative images with no connection to the point, and an identical rhythm on every slide can hide the message. The final pass should remove material, strengthen hierarchy, and restore source notes. Business figures, customer data, and unreleased project documents also need a data-policy check before they are sent to an external service.
